What does The Hanover’s Actuarial Program offer you?
An important part of an actuarial student’s job is to study for and pass exams in pursuit of the professional designation, Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. The Hanover supports this work with a very competitive exam program, including:
- Company-paid study time, up to 130 hours per exam
- Reimbursement of exam fees
- Cost of study materials and approved exam seminars
- Salary increases and bonuses for successful exam completion
In addition, our program provides:
- Structured training, including both business and technical skills
- Promotional opportunities with salary increases, including management opportunities
- A rotational program to enhance breadth of experience

Are there other requirements?
- An undergraduate degree in math, business, finance, economics or related field is preferred
- Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams
- Superior computer skills (e.g., Excel, Access, SAS)
